Dedicated Deacons
I would like to nominate Jason Shotton (Construction) for Dedicated Deacon recognition. Last week, on a Friday afternoon, a leaking pipe set off a fire alarm at ZSR Library. The leak was somewhere above our Rare Books Room and threatened to cause damage if not fixed. Jason is managing several construction projects at the library this summer, and although the problem was not related to the construction, or was not even in the same part of the building, Jason worked with Facilities to locate the problem and get it fixed, staying into the evening. We really appreciated his willingness to go above and beyond to make sure that none of our irreplaceable materials were in danger of being damaged. – from Susan Smith, Z. Smith Reynolds Library
