Memorial service scheduled for Chip Patterson
A memorial service for Chip Patterson will be held Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at Knollwood Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
The University previously announced that he died on Nov. 17. A Wake Forest alumnus, he joined the Wake Forest staff in 1987 and retired this year as assistant vice president of gift planning in the Office of University Advancement.

Death of Chip Patterson announced

We are saddened to announce that Chip Patterson, who retired this year in the Office of University Advancement, died today.
A Wake Forest alumnus, Mr. Patterson joined the Wake Forest staff in 1987 and retired as assistant vice president of gift planning.
We grieve Mr. Patterson’s death and extend our condolences to his family and friends, as well as those at Wake Forest who had the opportunity to know him.
Once his family has made arrangements for a service, information will be posted on the Inside WFU web site.
Wake Forest offers support and counseling services for all students, faculty and staff. The University Counseling Center may be reached at 758-5273, the Chaplain’s Office at 758-5210. For staff and faculty, there is also the Employee Assistance Center at 716-5493.
