Important Party So Dear Weather Announcement

This message from Wake Forest Alumni Engagement was e-mailed to faculty and staff today:

Due to the concerning weather forecast, there are a few changes to the Homecoming schedule. Please be advised:

  • Pointer Sisters concert has moved to Wait Chapel. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. The 50-minute concert will begin at 5:30 p.m.
  • Weather permitting, the gates to the Party So Dear venue on Manchester Plaza will open at 6:00 p.m. The music and the drinks will be flowing until 8:00 p.m.
  • Reunion parties will begin immediately following the conclusion of Party So Dear at 8:00 p.m. The Class of 2013 party will begin at 9:00 p.m.
  • Your safety is our top concern. Plans are subject to change. Please monitor the weather and social media for updates. Use your best judgement in making your plans for tonight. #wfuhc and homecoming.wfu.edu.

CASE awards presented to University Advancement

Wake Forest’s Office of University Advancement was presented 10 awards in February at the District III annual conference of CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) at Atlanta’s College Football Hall of Fame. The awards were won by three offices within University Advancement: Communications and External Relations, Wake Forest Magazine and Alumni Engagement.

Awards received by Communications and External Relations included a Grand Award, two Awards of Excellence and two Special Merit Awards.

Wake Forest Magazine received a Grand Award, an Award of Excellence and a Special Merit Award.

An Award of Excellence and a Special Merit Award were received by Alumni Engagement.
