Miller to deliver A.C. Reid Chair Inaugural Lecture

Christian B. Miller

Christian B. Miller, A.C. Reid Professor of Philosophy, will deliver the A.C. Reid Chair Inaugural Lecture on April 25.

The topic of Miller’s lecture will be “The Neglected Virtue of Honesty: Is Anyone Honest These Days, and What Does ‘Honesty’ Even Mean?”

Miller will speak at 4 p.m. in Tribble Hall’s DeTamble Auditorium with a reception to follow in the Philosophy Library (Room B 316) in Tribble Hall.

In his presentation, Miller will focus, in part, on the philosophical question of what makes someone an honest person.  He will also speak on recent studies in psychology on cheating.

The lecture is supported by the A.C. Reid Fund.
