Champions of Change award winners announced

On April 9, the Office of Sustainability hosted the 11th annual Champions of Change Campus Sustainability Awards. Each year at the awards ceremony, students, faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond in their contributions to campus sustainability are honored across five categories. This year’s celebration honored 12 award winners and numerous nominees whose commitments to sustainability were exemplified through efforts like energy-saving LED light conversions of athletic venues, stewardship of our campus trees, commitment to environmental justice principles and dialogue, dedication to engaged and experiential learning, right-sizing the Wake Line shuttle fleet and more.

WFU to host track meet on Friday, April 19, to include starter gun

Track and FieldThe Wake Forest men’s and women’s track & field programs will host a track meet on Friday, April 19 at Kentner Stadium on the Reynolda Campus. The competition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Friday morning. The last event is tentatively set to begin at 11 p.m. Please be aware that a starter gun will be used and may be heard throughout the day.

Applications now open for Magnolias Curriculum Project

The Office of Sustainability invites faculty of all career stages and disciplines to enhance their teaching and engagement with sustainability issues by participating in this two-day workshop, taking place May 22 – 23.

Since the workshop was first offered in 2012, more than 100 Wake Forest faculty members have participated, representing 37 different academic departments and programs across the college, graduate school of arts and sciences and the professional schools.
