Gatehouses will operate early tonight

Wake Forest’s gatehouses will begin operating two hours early on Friday night, March 22, as the University hosts a sold-out concert on Davis Field. The Reynolda Road and University Parkway gatehouses will start operating at 8 p.m., and the Polo Road entrance will close at that time. The gatehouses will be staffed until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

The University Police Department reminds students, staff and faculty to go to the police website and register in advance for guests coming onto campus at 8 p.m. or later Friday night. Anyone not pre-registered should expect delays at the gatehouses. Also, vehicles without proper vehicle identification will be stopped at the gatehouses between 8 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday. Drivers will be asked for name and destination; officers may issue a short-term visitor pass.

The WAKEstock concert will run from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., but concert gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Parking will be available in lots W and Q.
