Drew Edwards, long-time psychology professor, passes away

We are sad to share that long-time psychology professor Drew Edwards passed away on July 20. Professor Edwards graduated from Wake Forest’s psychology M.A. program in 1968 and served as an adjunct for the psychology department for more than 40 years. He died from complications from Alzheimer’s and a brain injury.

A link to his obituary can be found here.

“Drew was part of the fabric of the department,” said Wayne Pratt, professor and interim chair of the psychology department. “In addition to teaching at Wake Forest, Dr. Edwards had a long, long career doing clinical work, most recently focusing on attention, learning and disruptive behavior disorders in children. He touched the community broadly, and Wake Forest students specifically.”

We extend our condolences to professor Edwards’s family and friends, as well as all those at Wake Forest who had the opportunity to know him.
