Parking lot closures Aug. 11-13

A message from Facilities and Campus Services

We wish to share the following parking closure information and provide parking recommendations/options for faculty and staff for Monday, Aug. 11 through Wednesday, Aug. 13. These closures are being planned at a time that should cause the least disruption to faculty and staff parking choices.

Parking Lot Closures:
Monday, Aug. 11 through Wednesday, Aug. 13 – Parking Lots U and U-2 will be closed for maintenance. This will also include the Visitor, WFDD and reserved faculty/staff spaces that run parallel to the basketball courts. The road will remain open. If weather or additional time is needed for maintenance, the closure of Lots U and U-2 may extend into Thursday, Aug. 14.

Faculty/Staff Parking Options:
We recommend parking in lot W-1 during this closure as spaces are frequently available during this window of time. Whenever parking lots are closed, we also recommend alternative modes of transportation such as carpooling, bicycles or mass transit to reduce the demand for parking during these times.

If you have any questions, contact Alex Crist at 336-758-2558.
