Staff Advisory Council announces election results

The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) will hold its last meeting of the school year on Tuesday, May 31st at 1:30 p.m. in Benson 401B.  Pamela Dumas Serfes, associate vice president of Communications and External Relations (CER), and Brett Eaton, executive director of news for CER, will be speaking about campus communications and improvements planned for the next several months.  This is an open meeting, and all staff are invited to attend.

In an effort to improve communications, the SAC is proud to debut its new website athttp://sac.wfu.edu.  The new website has many requested features, including bios and contact information for members, meetings and events planned by the SAC, and minutes of previous SAC meetings. Read more

Custodians recognized for new cleaning program

A new method of cleaning campus buildings has earned Wake Forest an award for best new cleaning program from an industry group, which also recognized eight custodians for their outstanding work.

The University began implementing the “Operating System I” (OS1) approach to cleaning campus buildings last fall, starting in the Calloway Center and later, Greene Hall. The successful implementation of those new cleaning methods and procedures won the University the “Rookie of the Year” program award this summer from ManageMen, which developed the OS1 cleaning approach and provides training to universities and businesses.
