Champion of Change Award nominations sought by Office of Sustainability

This is a guest post of the Office of Sustainability:

Do you know an individual who has made an impact on campus sustainability at Wake Forest? Nominate him or her for a 2018 Champion of Change Award.

This year’s winners will be recognized at the fifth annual Campus Sustainability Awards ceremony on Tuesday, March 20. Staff, faculty, and students are all eligible, and nominations can be made in the following categories: resource conservation, academics and engagement, service and social action, leadership, and bright ideas.

Nominate yourself or someone else as a Champion of Change for campus sustainability by Wednesday, February 21. The Champions of Change will be recognized at a ceremony on March 20 in the Reynolda Hall Green Room from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Nominations for Campus Sustainability Awards being accepted

Nominations for the Campus Sustainability Awards are now open! Students, faculty and staff who have demonstrated or initiated successful sustainable practices on campus are eligible. Nominate yourself or someone else as a Champion of Change in one of the following categories:

–Resource Conservation
–Academics and Engagement
–Service and Social Action
–Bright Ideas

Nominations will be evaluated based on demonstrated ways the nominee has advanced the Wake Forest campus sustainability goals, measurable impact among constituents and other criteria. To nominate yourself or someone else, complete the online nomination form by 5 p.m. on March 28. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on April 22.

Reminder: Nominate a 'Champion of Change'

unnamedWake Forest’s Office of Sustainability is now accepting nominations for Champions of Change.

Have you facilitated a change to a sustainable practice on campus? Are you teaching a sustainability-focused course or leading a research effort with sustainability-centered outcomes?

On April 22 Wake Forest will host its second annual Champions of Change award ceremony. Complete this form by March 27 to nominate yourself or someone else as a Champion of Change for campus sustainability.

Categories include: Resource Conservation; Academics; Service and Social Action and Bright Ideas.
