Staff Advisory Council announces 2015 election results

SAC-logo-FINALThe Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is pleased to announce the results of the 2015 spring election. Thirteen new SAC representatives from across the University staff have been elected. New council members are: Landon Burrow (FACS: Maintenance Team 4), James Coffey (FACS: Custodial Services), Lou Gusbar (School of Business- Student Academic Services), Lauren Largen (Graylyn: Ads & Promotions), Sherry Long (Athletics: Student Athletes Services), Ellie Shannon (Athletics: Administration), Shelley Sizemore (Campus Life), Darlene Starnes (Multicultural Affairs), Barbara Stephens-Macri (Human Resources), Amanda Tingle (Dean of Wake Forest College), Amalia Wagner (Office of the Provost), Sandra Whicker (Admissions: Undergraduate), and Sarah Wojcik-Gross (Information Systems).

In addition to newly elected representatives, Artanzia Yates (Information Systems) and Scott Spernoga (Athletics: Sports Medicine) have been re-elected to serve an additional term. Each SAC representative will serve a term of three years and may be re-elected to serve one additional term.

Staff Advisory Council voting ends today

vote buttonVoting runs through today (Monday, April 22) in Wake Forest’s annual Staff Advisory Council (SAC) election.

Candidates in the election are staff members in the following areas at the University: Finance/Administration, Provost, Student Life and University Advancement. Eligible voters will receive an email informing them that they may vote for candidates employed in the same University area as they are.

The candidates are seeking to fill SAC positions. The new terms will begin July 1. SAC members are elected to three-year terms.

Online voting is available here:
http://apps.sac.wfu.edu/secure/elections

Eligible voters also may go the OS1 Training Room at the Facilities and Campus Services building.

The deadline is approaching for nominating new members to the Staff Advisory Council (SAC). Nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 22.

  • Nominations — Any staff member nominating another employee should inform their nominee of this intent, and determine if that employee is interested in serving on the council.
  • Requirements — for eligibility: full-time employment with one year of service, and in good standing.
