The Wake Alert emergency notification system will be tested Oct. 6.
Students, faculty and staff will receive test messages starting at 9 a.m. No action will be required by anyone who receives the test messages.
The test is being conducted to assure that the emergency notification system is operating properly.
It will be carried out by the University Police Department and the Office of Communications and External Relations.
