February 12, 2016
The following message was sent to students, faculty and staff, recently, by Provost Rogan Kersh:
Each year, the Wake Forest family gathers for the Founders’ Day Convocation to observe the University’s founding in February of 1834. Wake Forest will hold Founders’ Day Convocation on Thursday, February 18, at 4 p.m. in Wait Chapel.
We will award the Medallion of Merit, the highest honor bestowed by the University, to Jenny Robinson Puckett (’71, P ’00) and James T. Williams, Jr. (’62, JD ’66, P ’89, P ’92, P ’96), and faculty awards will be presented in the areas of advising, teaching and service. As is Wake Forest tradition, we will also have the opportunity to hear outstanding seniors read this year’s winning Senior Orations and the Class of 2016 will be honored with a reflective “senior video” featuring student testimonials.
Information for faculty, including processing information and regalia inquiries, can be found at convocation.wfu.edu.
The Office of the Provost will be hosting a reception immediately following the convocation in the Scales Lower Lobby. We look forward to seeing you there!
