University clothing drive supports overflow shelter project

Wake Forest’s Pro Humanitate Institute is sponsoring a University clothing drive in support of overflow shelters for the homeless in Winston-Salem.

The drive seeks to collect new or used winter clothing, such as winter coats, wool hats/caps, gloves and socks.  Items may be taken to the Pro Humanitate Institute office in Benson University Center, Room 506, or to the institute’s office building at Polo and Reynolda roads.

City with Dwellings, an umbrella social service group working with several local churches, has set up overflow night shelters in Winston-Salem.  The clothing will be distributed through the shelters.
