Applications being accepted for TLC program

It’s not too early to start thinking about those New Year’s Resolution of a healthy and active lifestyle. Make plans now to make 2016 a new year! Whether your goal is to eat a healthier diet, stop smoking, lose weight or walk three miles a day, the Therapeutic Lifestyle Change (TLC) program can help!

What is HELPS TLC? HELPS TLC is a medically directed, professionally supervised program designed to help WFU employees develop a healthy and active lifestyle using exercise and education.

What is the cost? The cost will be covered by Wake Forest.

What will you receive? Individualized assessments, therapies and follow-up; dietary intake is assessed through computer-analyzed food records; supervised exercise sessions at our conveniently located monitored exercise facility; weekly small group sessions will be held on campus in Worrell Professional Center, Room 1162.

Who will be helping you? The HELPS TLC staff consists of an exercise physiologist, registered nutritionist and health psychologist who work together to teach you behavioral strategies for the management of physical activity and eating.

We are currently taking applications for the next group which will start in January.
