Parking lot closures this week

The Office of Parking and Transportation shared the following parking closure information and provided parking recommendations/options for faculty and staff for Thursday and Friday, February 19 and 20.

Whenever parking lots are closed, the office recommends alternative modes of transportation such as carpooling, bicycles or mass transit to reduce the demand for parking during these times.

Parking lot closures:

• Thursday, February 19 – Parking Lot B will be closed for event parking all day.
• Thursday, February 19 – Spaces in the outer loop of Lot A will begin to be closed after 1:00 p.m., as they become available. These spaces will be available for faculty/staff parking on Thursday morning.
• Friday, February 20 – Parking Lot B will be closed for event parking all day.
• Friday, February 20 – Spaces in the outer loop of Lot A will be closed for event parking all day.
• Saturday, February 21 – Parking Lot B will be closed for event parking all day.

Faculty/staff parking options:

During these two days, the office recommends using parking lots A, J, Q. There frequently are angled parking spaces available on Wake Forest Road as well. Additionally, parking demands on Friday are lower than other weekdays.
