Heavy traffic expected for fair, football on Saturday

Please remember that on Saturday, Oct. 5, the Dixie Classic Fair will be taking place at the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds, located directly across the street from BB&T Field, throughout the day and evening. Fans arriving for Wake Forest’s 3:30 p.m. football game against N.C. State should plan on arriving early to avoid traffic delays in downtown and around the stadium.

Fans are also encouraged to try using roads just north of the stadium such as Cherry Street, Polo Road, Indiana Avenue and Akron Drive for faster access to BB&T Field.

A remote parking shuttle service will operate from First Assembly Church on University Parkway to the drop off point located in front of the Coliseum. Parking will be $8, and there is NO additional charge to use the shuttle. The first shuttle will start running at 9 a.m., and the last shuttle will run at 11 p.m. There will be a total of eight shuttles during the peak times of the day.

Information and updates can be found on WakeForestGameday.com.
