Locklair’s ‘From the rising of the sun’ will premiere

Dan Locklair’s “From the rising of the sun… (A Short Festival Piece for Brass Quartet, Percussion and Organ)” will be given its world premiere on Sunday, Sept. 9, at the 8:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Ga.

Performers will be Atlanta Brassworks, percussionist Michael Cebulski, and Peachtree Road UMC Associate Organist Nicole Marane.

Locklair is composer-in-residence and professor of music at Wake Forest.
