IS update: service hours, wireless outage

IS Service Desk Will Close at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 25:
On Friday, May 25, the Information Systems Service Desk, located at The Bridge, will close at 1 p.m. There will be no phone, email, or walk-in support after 1 p.m. All services will resume on Tuesday, May 29, at 8 a.m. (NOTE: The Z. Smith Reynolds Library also will close at 1 p.m. on May 25.)

Wireless Network Outage from 7-9 a.m. on Saturday, May 26
On Saturday, May 26, between 7-9 a.m., the campus wireless network will be unavailable while Information Systems staff perform an upgrade.

As a reminder, the University reserves each Saturday from 7 a.m.-noon for regularly scheduled maintenance on campus computing services. Services may include WIN, email, Sakai and network connectivity, as well as Banner and its peripheral applications. This maintenance may cause momentary or extended interruptions to various systems and services during this period each week without advance communication. In cases where the work will start earlier or extend past the designated timeframe, we communicate with our customers who are affected.
