Hannawa gives invited presentation

Annegret Hannawa, assistant professor of communication, gave the invited research presentation, “When the Truth Hurts: Conceptualizing a Multimodal Approach to Mistake Disclosures in Doctor-Patient Interactions,” at the University of Berlin, Germany, and in Switzerland. She presented two papers at the EACH (European Association for Communication in Healthcare) conference in Verona, Italy: “When competence saves lives: Operationalizing skillful physician disclosures of medical mistakes” and “Sharpening the focus: Toward an operationalizable definition of medical mistakes.”
